I have grown up with cats and adore them!!!   I have always had moggies in my life until I
decided to go the purebred route and adopted two beautiful Norwegian Forest Cats (both 4 years & 4 months old now).   Prior to adopting my Norwegians, my cat family consisted of
two domestic short haired cats (1 fifteen yr old and 1 six yr old).

My oldest cat passed away after a long illness last year.   I was devastated - he shared my
life for 15 years and I still miss him terribly.  I know he would have been happy for me to
adopt again, and after many months of mourning, I decided to do so.   I have always been fascinated by the Ragdoll breed and had read about them in my cat magazines.   I surfed
the net, and that was how I came across Linn’s magnificent website.   I wrote to Linn and
to my surprise I got a reply on the same day.  She was very sympathetic about the loss of
my moggie and wanted to know all about my history with cats.

At the time I was undecided about adopting from Pretoria as there were no local Ragdoll breeders in the Cape Town area.  However, after speaking to Linn on the phone and via
email, I just knew that this was a breeder who really cared about her cats.  Somehow, in
my heart, I also knew that this was the breeder that I was going to adopt my cat from!
After completing Linn’s comprehensive questionnaire, I anxiously awaited her reply
which I am glad to confirm was in the positive!

My experience with Linn has been like no other!  She contacted me as soon as Kissable
Katie-Rose was pregnant and called as soon as the kittens were born.  The most beautiful photographs were emailed to me on a regular basis, from the day they were born, up un-
til the week before I received my kitten.  I got to know my baby very well, prior to holding
him in my loving arms.  I was very concerned about my kitten flying down to Cape Town,
but Linn put my mind at ease and reassured me that he would be fine.

The day that he arrived was also so special.   I could see that Linn had taken enormous
care to make sure that he was comfortable on his flight down to Cape Town.  He came in
a fabulous cat carrier with gorgeous bedding, cat food and lovely toys for my other cats
as well as him.  The pedigree certificate was beautiful with pictures of him from birth
up 14 weeks of age.

I feel so honored to be a mom to one of Linn’s kittens.  He is everything I ever wished for
in a kitty.  Breathtakingly beautiful, very affectionate and such a confident healthy
little chappie!  He has been so loved by Linn and this truly shows in his personality –
I could tell immediately that he had been extremely well socialized.

The “Ragdoll experience” has been so special for me.   He really is like a child’s rag doll
and flops in your arms for love.  He is such a character and brings us so much joy.  We
marvel at his beauty and intelligence every day.  Linn told me that they are addictive
and now I truly understand why.

My cats have always been indoor cats and were only let out under supervision. After
much thought, my partner and I decided to have an enclosure built for all of my cats,
which would mean that they would always have safe access to an outdoor area.  It has
been life changing for both my partner and myself in terms of “peace of mind”.
Linn was delighted to hear this news and has been so supportive with great advice and
tips for the enclosure.

Linn, thank you so much for bringing this beautiful little chappie into my and Sean’s
lives.  We will forever be thankful to you.  You are truly a wonderful breeder and this is
apparent in your cats.  Thank you for all the precious pictures you have sent me and for
the constant updates.  Thank you for all the excellent advice you have given me and for
all the laughs - I just love the way you talk about your kitties and can so relate.

I would highly recommend you to any cat lover wanting to adopt one of your kittens.

You have given me the most precious kitty and I am such a proud mom.  He has settled
in so well with my other cats and will be loved and adored for many years to come.

Best wishes, Carol J., CT (2009)

To anyone who loves cats, kittens and Ragdolls in particular
My family (husband Brian and daughter Meghan) and I drove to Pretoria from Port Elizabeth (a round trip of just over 2000 km) to fetch a very special little kitten, Katie Rose
AKA Minnie Mousie registered as Raglin's Ma Belle Katie Rose (My beautiful Katie Rose)
and she is indeed beautiful.

Katie Rose is small (tiny) by Ragdoll standards but being vertically challenged does not
stop this little lady.  She is a Ragdoll at heart and has learned how to “work” being cute to
her full advantage. At every “pit-stop” on the way home she became an ambassador for
the Ragdoll breed.  She strutted her diminutive Ragdoll stuff on a leash in public much
to the delight of everyone who saw her.  She was totally undaunted by the trip, her new
leash, collar and all the attention.  In fact, the little show-off loved every minute of it!

Her confidence and composure can only be attributed to Linn and her passion for her
Ragdolls.  She lives for them, everything that happens in her home happens for them be-
fore it happens for anyone or anything else.  I met Linn via the internet, when I originally made enquiries about adopting one of her kittens and a friendship has grown from there.
I am proud and honoured to be a friend of this loveable, strong and remarkable woman.

To anyone out there who is considering adopting a Ragdoll kitten please be warned, Rag-
dolls are not ordinary.  Life as you know it will change forever.  Linn is no ordinary breeder, her beautiful babies can attest to that fact.

Linn, once again many thanks for trusting me to care for Katie Rose Jnr.

Much love, Glenda D., PE (2009)

Hi Linn, I want to thank you once again for this wonderful, loving, gentle giant who has
come into my life.

Another reason for writing this letter is for anyone who is considering adopting a more
mature cat. I hope I can allay any of their fears that an older cat won’t bond with them as
well as a kitten would.

As an example, my previous cat Paddington came to me from the SPCA at the age of 18
months, settled in right away and was my shadow and constant companion, through
house moves, temporary living arrangements with a very large dog that used to chase
him no matter what I did and a near fatal caustic soda poisoning. And all through this he
was the most loving, loyal, faithful companion I could ever have wished for. Another
benefit for me was that being slightly older but still kittenish in every way, he was over
the swinging-on-the-curtains phase, etc. I’m sure it also had to do with the fact that he
had every possible toy, and scratching post and was old enough to make use of our beautiful garden which being older he could be out in with impunity and there were many
trees and birds to occupy him,  Paddington lived to the ripe old age of 22.

I was so heart-sore when he died; I vowed never to get another cat.

Until now that is. When the wonderful Bogie (after Humphrey Bogart because he is so
suave) came into my life .... and it was like I met my soul mate.

Initially we were a little worried that he may not be happy, as he was already almost
nine months old and had been used to being part of a large cat family. Also for the first
day or so, he sulked and didn’t eat very much and did a lot of kitty 'shouting' in his Rag-
doll baritone to let us know just what he thought of the new arrangement. At one stage
we even thought that if he didn’t settle, for his own sake, we would have to return him to
you and that would have broken my heart as I had already fallen in love with him. So we waited with baited breath …

However … suddenly on day three, he began to explore his new home, to eat and to allow
us to fuss him as it seemed to dawn on him that the entire “palace” was his. In no time
at all he was zooming round the house like a little kitty, leaping on every surface, then flopping down in a beautiful pose to wait for one of us to scramble for the honour of tick-
ling him under his chin which soon lead to a belly rub and then he would meow imperiously to be picked up and carried up to bed – where he would lie down next to me on his
back, hind “toes” pointing straight down and his front paws on my tummy and proceed
to purr like a tractor, massage me and then snooze off, snuggled up as close as possible.

Now he follows me around like a puppy, comes when I call him, loves to be picked up and
carried around, curls up on the bed next to me, and sits on my desk when I work at the computer.  At the moment as I write this, Mr. B is sitting in front of my computer screen purring away and I have to stretch up and look over his body to see what I'm doing while
he chats away.  (Correcting my grammar no doubt and sending you secret messages Linn)

He loves playing with the fishies at the end of the wand you sent with him, playing fetch
with the bees and a crumpled ball of paper sends him into a game of zoom-zoom where
he turns into a racing car impersonator and runs from couch to couch, up and down the
stair case, round and round the coffee table and then he suddenly plops at my feet when
his “petrol” runs out. He and I have our fun before bedtime so that he's ready to settle
down happily for the night.

I’d been a little nervous to take him out in the garden, (I’m a very protective mamma) but
the other day Carrie took him out and he wandered about like king of all he surveyed,
had a jolly good roll in the reddest sand he could find, familiarized himself with every-
thing and then happily followed her back home.  Phew!  That was a relief. He is super intelligent and very obedient, but as Carrie says trust begets trust – and why would he want to
be further than five steps from his adoring Queen Val.

As I'm sure you know, he loves a tummy tickle so I use this time to gently comb him (the
comb is wonderful – a million thanks) and he's slowly getting used to being groomed by me.

When I’ve had a hard day it’s as if he knows and nags and nags till I go and lie down with
him. I truly believe animals have an instinct and they know when we’re not well and need extra care.  Since I’ve had him I can’t wait to get home where we take care of each other.

Linn, I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to have this furry bundle of mischief, chatter
and love in my life!!  He is definitely King of this Castle and I am his willing slave!

Carrie has informed me that the reason Bogie settled in so well and quickly, is due to the
way he was bred and raised according to your EXTREMELY high standards of breeding. Firstly, he is in prime health and secondly he has been socialized and raised in your HOME amongst people, dogs and cats. So he’s used to the sounds of the usual household hubbub:
the sounds of dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, people, and television sets. Also the fact that
he has been loved and cuddled and treated as part of your family since his birth has made
him a confident loving cat with a calm disposition.

This is vastly different to kittens Carrie has come across who have been raised in a
CATTERY, as they may take a long time to settle into the home because for them it is an
ALIEN environment. It’s traumatic enough for a cat or kitten to be moved into a different home, without having strange new sounds (of a home), smells (such as dogs) and strange
new creatures to contend with (people around all the time).

Once again, thank you so much Linn for bringing this amazing being into my life.  I look forward to a long and loving life with this divine companion of my heart’s delight.

Warm regards, Val O'H., Jhb (2009)

My Baloo is with me at last!

What a pleasure it has been in acquiring my gorgeous kitten from such a genuine and ca-
ring breeder.  From Linn’s prompt reply to my enquiry, the exceptional photographs she
sent us regularly, the care in the transport of Baloo to me and all the thoughtful goodies
that came with him, speaks volumes of the quality Raglin Ragdolls are famous for.

It’s a fact that to truly appreciate how precious these cats are, you have to experience it!
Think of how impressed you are even at looking at the pictures and reading about the characteristics of the Ragdoll breed, and then multiply it tenfold.  Even my children began
to think that I was beginning to be “over the top”.  Well, they are finding themselves so
smitten now that he is with us!

Raglin Ragdolls’ kittens are truly exceptional and deserve your attention and devotion.
They thrive on communication; company and cuddles so please make sure that your life-
style can accommodate such a spirited animal.  They are alert cats and don’t miss a thing
so your home truly needs to be ready beforehand.  Personally, nothing is too much effort
be cause the love and affection they give you is priceless and unconditional.
Baloo is in the middle of my heart!

Plus on top of all that, you have to physically feel their astoundingly soft coats.  They are
more beautiful to behold than words could come even close to describing.

Linn Currie, the breeder of choice and in fact the only breeder I would ever consider, knows
her cats so well that one can rest assured that her instincts are spot on if she needs to
choose a kitten on your behalf.  She is always available 24/7 if ever you need to talk.

THE ARRIVAL OF MY STORK AND THE ANGEL WHO SENT IT
I have always been besotted with cats. From the age of two, I would make a beeline for any
cat that was in my sight for a cuddle and kiss. I have always had cats in my life and loved
them with all my heart but I can’t quite explain the feeling when my little bundle arrived with the stork on Easter Friday. MY journey started the day I set my eyes on Linn’s photography through a family member and saw her Ragdoll kittens. I knew a bit about them previously and always wanted one but I did not quite know how I was going to get my
hands onto a breeder in South Africa. Immediately I researched the breed to find every
little detail I could and then got her details from my cousin and decided to take the plunge
and contact Linn. As soon as I got home late that Friday evening I emailed Linn explaining
my story and how interested I was in adopting one of her kittens and to my surprise she
replied immediately (we are probably the only two insane people who are on the net at midnight and up again at 5) and said she was so excited and sent me her questionnaire.
From that very moment I knew she was the breeder for me as anyone who sets the time to
make people fill out a detailed questionnaire like hers really loves her kittens and only
wants them to go to the best home possible and this I truly admire.  First thing the following morning I received an email saying that she would love to give me one of her kittens
and there may be a baby available from her next litter if one suited our home and family,
and from that day I knew I had found a lifelong friend. Linn was my angel and I no words
can express how much she has done for me through the past few months during my journey through our new friendship. We kept in contact via email daily and she would send me her amazing photography and then the day arrived...

WINNING THE LOTTO
I will never ever forget this day when I received a phone call from Linn who was so excited
for me saying that she had a kitten become available from her litter that was born on the
4th of December and asked if I would like her, I did not even give her a chance to finish her sentence and said YES YES YES YES there was no need to even put another thought into
my dream coming true.

THE ANGEL WHO SENT ME ANOTHER ANGEL
Immediately I received a photo of my new baby and she looked just like an angel. From that day on a day did not go by where we never communicated. The theme was then decided on
and I started the search for a perfect name for my new bundle of joy. After Linn telling me
she would kill me if I named her my previous top favourites on got onto the Internet again
and did not give up until I found the ONE. The princess in Hercules Megara was the perfect name as it meant pearl and she was a princess. I immediately sent the name through for approval and my angel loved it and Maggie now had her identity.  Linn was amazing she sent me photos everyday of the progress of my kitten, her antics, personality, eating mannerisms etc and I felt part of my kitten’s journey during her first three months even though I was thousands of kilometres away. All I can say is that Linn is a fantastic breeder and you will never find someone quite like her with her love, passion, friendship and enthusiasm.  During our telephone calls I used to roll with laughter, as she would, in only Linn's expressive ways, tell me stories about the kittens or the past history.

DR LINN TO THE RESCUE
At this present time Sushi, my existing cat, was concerning me with her growth and eating patterns and I went into extreme panic mode. Automatically I immediately got hold of Linn who told me exactly what to do and how to go about getting down to the main problem and Wow! She started saving me some serious money on vet bills, as I was not arriving at the vet every few days with the receptionists laughing and the vet sending me off with a fat amount
to pay. She then followed up every day on Sushi and showed her concern and care about her which is truly outstanding. There are not many people in this world that are so giving with-
out expecting something in return, unselfish, caring, loving and a genuine friend. She really made the effort and I know I can say this on behalf of the proud mommies and daddies in the past.

THE ADVENT CALENDAR
I made an advent calendar a month prior to her due date and every day I took off a kitten
toy and gave it to Sushi. This is when it all hit home the vets visits began for vaccinations,
and after every visit I received a detailed email of what had occurred what Doc Martin said about Maggie, how she reacted, etc. When the final payment was to be made I was totally shocked as there is no way Linn can be making nearly enough for the amount of work and
effort she has put in let alone all the money it costs for the amount that she does. I would
have paid triple for the baby I have. I added up what it would of cost me for all the vet visits they went to and alone that would have cost me just under three thousand Rand altogether and that’s not even including the identity chip that would have cost me a fortune this side. Then bearing in mind we had not even taken into consideration all the food, i.e. Woolworths free-range chicken fillets, imported (and expensive) canned food and high premium dry kibbles, let alone the best of the best kitten litter and all the photography costs incurred
upon sending us daily images of our babies growing up. I can’t tell you how much this journey with Linn meant to me and how everyday she did something that would make me think what a phenomenal individual and breeder she is. I was taken through the entire operation procedure when Maggie went in and her recovery process. After that the final few instructions were handed out in great detail covering every minor little question that we all may have had, and then ...

THE BIG DAY WHEN THE STORK FLEW IN
I was up on Easter Friday at sparrows. This was the big day. Linn phoned me early that morning checking how I was feeling and making sure I remembered the time and details
(not that I could have forgotten and was at the airport before the plane had even landed.)
WE all know East London is behind in most areas but I think the airport wins the prize
hands down. We waited for 50 minutes and need I say in this time Linn had phoned to
check if I had her yet and I had glared at my watch, then at the inefficient cargo staff and
then back at my watch showing my impatience. This stork obviously had their wings cut
prior to their flight. Then the carrier fell out from the sky and there she was. My heart stopped. I mean I thought she was stunning in the photographs but she was more, much
much more. She was absolutely gorgeous and I instantly fell totally and utterly head over heels in love. When I opened the carrier and picked her up I could not believe how soft she
was and in what stunning condition she arrived in. Not a flea in sight, not a mark, in fact
she looked like she had just come from a full house valet.  She was perfect, curling into my arms looking at me with loving eyes and then falling asleep in my arms. She was the most relaxed kitten I have even laid eyes upon and nothing has changed since the day she arrived. She is the friendliest most loving angel ever imaginable and I am one of the luckiest people
to have been blessed with Linn and her kittens in my life.

ARRIVAL AT HER NEW HOME
She was not nervous. In fact it was as if she had been living here forever and owned the
place. She was so confident if I walked out the room she would call me back immediately to
keep her company. She was not afraid of a thing and had everybody that met her wrapped around her little paw and head over heels in love even if they previously never entertained the idea of a cat they were now asking questions about where she was from and how, if they happened to be interested how they could get into contact with the breeder. From the day
she arrived she has given us so much joy. Times of laughter, times of surprise, times of cud-dling, times of envy, times of fun, times of early hour food calls when too lazy to get to her
food, times of adoration and times of ultimate confidence. Upon her introduction to Sushi, Sushi being ever so pleasant (note the sarcasm) greeting her with a fat hiss followed by a
growl and Maggie’s priceless reaction entailed looking at Sushi as if she had gone out of her mind and continued playing with her toys. This of course made Sushi more annoyed but Megara did not a single thing worry her. She loves children, dogs, the parrot and Sushi of course but in the beginning this was a one sided affair but now they are in the communica-
tion process so we saying our prayers and hoping for the best.

THE TWO THAT MADE MY DREAM COME TRUE
Thank you Linn and Rob for the best gift you could ever have blessed us with and no words
or actions will ever be able to make up for what you have done for our household. We absolu-tely love our new bundle of joy and thank you for sending me the stork and look forward the arrival of the next stork in the future.  Don’t forget now, Linn!
All our Love, Megara, Sushi, Mom and Dad

Taryn S., EL (2009)

Linn Currie is the most devoted breeder I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and knowing.  Words alone cannot express how highly I recommend Linn as a breeder.   I need to begin
by saying this without any shadow of a doubt because this is the true quality that sets Raglin Ragdolls so far apart from any other.  There are many high quality, top class breeders around the world that, from a practical perspective, follow all the correct policies and procedures as,
of course, does Linn, but what Linn has, on top of all this, is Passion and Respect.

The ‘Passion’ is evident before you even meet Linn, it is evident from the very first communication you have with Linn and it is all about her beautiful Ragdolls.  Both Linn
and her husband Robert are not about breeding as a business, on the contrary, Linn is about breeding for love, both love for her Ragdolls and about sharing the joy and love that her Rag-dolls bring to those people who truly are worthy of having one of these Ragdolls in their lives.  As a complete animal devotee; environmentalist and pacifist I have often wondered how breeders, who care, manage to ensure that, in this day and age, their animals go to loving homes.  Now, having met Linn and gone through Linn’s ‘approval process’ there is no doubt in my mind that Linn is one of the few breeders that ensures, right up to being willing to cancel the ‘agreement’ to the last moment, that her kittens go to only the best most worthy homes.
I, in fact, feel honoured to have been accepted into Linn and Roberts own home as potential ‘Ragdoll people’ to visit our kitten in their bedroom where she was born and cared for in the initial weeks, to have gotten to know our beloved Jelly Bean, a beautiful, female, blue Mitted Ragdoll, and bonded with her before she came home, then on New Years Day 2009, to have brought home our new ‘baby girl’, and to this day ongoing sup-port whenever it is needed.  For me this process has shown me nothing but passion from be-ginning to end.

The ‘Respect’……. I have a theory that respect in the truest sense of the word has all but dis-appeared in the modern world, that is, respect for ourselves and for all living things, however, Linn and Robert live their lives with absolute respect for what they do and how they do it, not only respect for each and every one of their Ragdolls, but also for their other big goofy loving Golden Retriever, Harvey, and equally for all other wildlife that they are so involved in, gently and carefully allowing nature to take its course, never interfering except for willingly being allowed to observe, mostly from behind a camera lens in order to capture nature both domesticated and wild in all its beauty for others to appreciate.  This is just so indicative of a deep respect that is so rare and special.

If you take the time to read any one of the many many references that Linn already has on
her website you will see that every single time Linn has a litter of kittens she goes through
the same careful process of ensuring every single kitten has only the best possible start in
life, that every single potential owner will be the very best possible owner for their special Ragdoll, and that every kitten is prepared as much as they possibly can be for going out into the ‘big wide world’.  Even more than all that, I noted a very interesting point in one reference, someone said that it was almost like Linn managed to ‘match’ each kitten to the right home, now, I must admit that I had thought I had been completely unique in that it seemed that our Jelly Bean, who had been the more timid kitten of the litter, was so perfectly match-ed to our home because from the moment she arrived home she suddenly became ‘Queen of
her Castle’.  It was as if she suddenly came out of herself and before we knew it had taken
over everyone’s lives that she became a part of !!  The amount of love she has brought into
this family is immeasurable, and it certainly does not seem that I am unique because I can only echo the words of every other reference, all saying the same thing, not only in all the details, from the first e-mail, through the questionnaire, the phone calls, the weekly visits, the bonding, the creamy coffee, the wonderful conversations, the teachings on Ragdoll care, the professionalism and the caring environment right up to saying good-bye and the gentle reassuring follow up phone calls to make sure our Jelly Bean had settled in happily,  but also in echoing the words of how very special this entire experience has been ... and so it is for
every single Ragdoll family.  I realized that Linn loves each and every single kitten that is born individually, she knows and loves each of their special characteristics and each one of them always has a special place in her heart, not only those that stay but also those that go
to their new homes and families.

I feel that I will always be part of the Raglin Ragdoll family and know that Linn will always
be there if I should need any form of help or advice whatsoever.  Linn told me once that Rag-dolls are addictive and she never spoke a truer word!! Ragdolls are amazing, they are absolutely beautiful, and they are both loving and lovable.  We adore our baby girl Jelly Bean,
she follows us around wherever we go, she sleeps by my pillow every night and helps me get
out of bed every morning the moment the alarm has rung, I can’t ever imagine being without our Jelly Bean, but we are already waiting as patiently as can be, almost with baited breath, for word that our eagerly awaited male seal Mitted baby is on his way.  I ask myself if it is possible to have twice as much love with a second Ragdoll, I don’t know if it is possible but I most certainly can’t wait to see!!

In ending I have to once again reiterate that I truly commend Linn as a breeder and her beautiful Ragdolls and everything that she and Robert do and I recommend Linn without hesitation to anyone that is worthy of such a special breeder and breed.

My son, Adam, who has been part of this whole process summed it up for me the other day
when he said ‘Mom, I really really miss our visits to Linn, she really loves her cats doesn’t
she and she taught us so much!!’  ‘YES, YES and YES!!’

Thank you Linn, You have got true Soul and it shines through in every kitten.
